Our History
Chartered in 1939, our chapter maintains over 300 members annually. FFA members may
choose to participate by training for a leadership team~Chapter Conducting, Quiz Team, Public Speaking, Creed Speaking, Skills team, Job Interview, Radio, Ag Issues~or try a career development event team ~Livestock, Forage, Milk Quality, Vet Tech, Ag Mechanics, Meats, Dairy Cattle, Poultry, Farm Business Management, Floriculture, Nursery/ Landscape~or by selecting, feeding, and grooming an animal to present before a livestock judge.  They purchase the animal of choice and work everyday preparing for the show. The project requires an enormous amount of commitment and responsibility. It should be considered a family project with the responsibility resting on the FFA member known as the exhibitor.  Many important experiences including the aspects of the free enterprise system, time management, self motivation, financial planning and accurate record keeping can be gained from raising an SAE~supervised agriculture experience project. Raising animal projects is not a requirement, but is an excellent way to develop responsibility, a solid character, build on a college fund and have fun along the way.

Throughout our long history we have won numerous State Championships including Back to Back Ag Mechanic State Championships in 1977-1978. We continuously advance to State Contests, have success at Livestock Auctions and make our Leadership skills present at the State Level with 3 State Officers in our history including David Reiley and most recently in 2013-2014 Shelby Eckhardt. We will continue to strive for excellence and prepare our FFA Students for their futures.

Please feel free to look around the Ag Building during FFA Meetings or when an Ag Teacher is around to see our walls of banners, plaques, trophies, and look through our history of scrapbooks.
